      Hi,

I'v been happily working with Spresence for a while but have noticed an issue with my new machine. I have a new Mac Mini (2020). Iv noticed that while I can flash the device OK, TTY console sessions lock up. Sometime I'll get currupted data (missing characters) and then the terminal will lock up all together. I have no issues connecting to and older mac, so perhaps this is something to do with newer USB 3 ports which are on the Mini (timing or speed issues). Iv tried both the Thunderbolt and the USB 3 ports.

I'm getting better results going via a USB hub though.

      Thanks,
      Christian

what are your serial settings for xfer? Are you using terminal directly or thru another program?

It sounds like you have an issue with the serial connection settings. Have you tried using a serial com program that lets you set specific settings outside of the mac system setting?

          Hi,

I'v been using standard 115200 8 none 1 settings. And i've noticed the issue both on native MacOs (using screen) and with Ubunutu via Parallells (using minicom). I originally thought it was a parallels issue but it seems its "my mac". I'll see if I get different results on another machine with USB 3. If this has not been reported by anyone else on a recent USB 3 machine then I guess it's something local to my setup, or some weird incompatibity with the Mac USB devices. (I have experienced issues with USB 2 devices requiring firmware upgrades to work with USB 3).

          Thanks,
          Christian
