MEMS Microphone for Spresense

I was considering using I2S MEMS microphone breakout board along with the Spresense Main Board, as the mainboard has I2S pinout available.
But, in all the audio examples in the documentation, the extension board is used to interface the microphone.
Can't we directly interface the microphone with the mainboard?

Yes, that should work as well. Please change. AS_SETRECDR_STS_INPUTDEVICE_MIC to AS_SETRECDR_STS_INPUTDEVICE_I2S in the example you want to use. That should be enough to make it work.
