Our documentation lists some differences between the Spresense board and Arduino UNO.
Under this differences it says the while the UNO can be support both master and slave mode, the Spresense only supports master mode.

On the meantime, this example loads an hand-written digit image (pgm) and a neural network model (nnb) from an SD Card
and does forward propagation after feeding the image.

Also, this sample application opens a jpeg image (you can specify the path as being on the SD card) and decodes it. The decoded image is saved as .YUV

Even if you save the files in an SD card, the code would still need to be compiled and then copied to the RAM to be executed from the RAM (https://developer.sony.com/develop/spresense/docs/arduino_developer_guide_en.html#_memory_usage).
So you really are limited by RAM size.
